FRA Maize Stolen in Mazabuka

Armed criminals have stolen 70 by 50 kilogramme bags of maize from a Food Reserve Agency -FRA- depot in Mazabuka, Southern province.
This happened at the Chivuna FRA depot in Musuma ward, between 22 hours on Saturday, and 05 hours on Sunday.
The SIX criminals, who were armed with an unknown fire-arm, beat and tied up the security guards at the shed, before taking away the maize using a light truck.
Southern Province Police Deputy Commanding officer, MOONO NAMALONGO has confirmed the incident, stating that the maize is worth K23,100.
The incident was reported to Chivuna Police Post by the Clerk at the FRA depot, MUTINTA MALESA.
