France to Help Zambia fight climate change
French Ambassador to Zambia THOMAS ROSSIGNAL says FRANCE stands ready to help Zambia in the fight against Climate Change.
Mr. ROSSIGNAL was speaking when he called on the Minister of Green Economy and Environment MIKE MPOSHA.
The French and Zambian government in December 2023 signed an MoU with a commitment of over 1- million Euros meant for forestry management among other things.
And Mr. MPOSHA said his ministry has approved an international expert that was recruited through the French Development Agency-AFD- following an MoU signed between the two countries last year.
The expert from France coming to work alongside the ministry on the project will be in the country on 1st September 2024.
Mr. MPOSHA said the ministry has also appointed a steering committee and technical working group to guide the project.
