
French Minister Praises Zambian Economic Reforms and Debt Restructuring

French Minister of Francophone and International Partnerships, Thani Mohamed-Soilihi, has also congratulated President Hichilema’s administration for embarking on robust economic reforms and the debt restructuring process.
Mr. Soilihi was speaking when he called on Finance Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane at his office in Lusaka today.
Meanwhile, Zambia and France have signed a declaration of intent to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sylvia Masebo, signed on behalf of the Zambian Government, while the visiting Minister for Francophone and International Partnerships signed on behalf of the French Government.
Speaking during the signing ceremony in Lusaka today, Ms. Masebo said Zambia is open to foreign investment and recognizes the significant contributions that French businesses can make to the country’s economy.
