GBM Death Reports False – Govt

Government has dispelled rumors circulating on social media that former Defence Minister GEOFFREY MWAMBA has died.

Ministry of Information and Media Permanent Secretary THABO KAWANA says Mr. MWAMBA remains admitted to Maina Soko Medical Centre and that his condition is stable.

Speaking to ZNBC News at Maina Soko Medical centre in Lusaka today, Mr. KAWANA said Mr. MWAMBA is NOT in any danger at all and that he is alive.

He warned those in the habit of abusing the social media space that their days are numbered and that the law will soon catch up with them.

And one of the lawyers representing Mr. MWAMBA, CHARLES CHANGANO confirmed that his client is better and stable.

Mr. CHANGANO said that he was alarmed by the social media reports concerning Mr. MWAMBA and that he decided to rush to the hospital to check on him.
