GIVEN LUBINDA acquitted

The Lusaka Magistrate Court has acquitted Patriotic Front -PF faction Vice President GIVEN LUBINDA in a matter he was accused of failing to surrender a diplomatic passport and holding more than one passport.
LUSAKA Resident Magistrate, KAWAMA MWANFULI, has ruled that the state has failed to prove a prima facie case against Mr. LUBINDA.
Magistrate MWAMFULI has ruled that none of the three state witnesses proved that Mr LUBINDA failed or refused to surrender the diplomatic passport.
She further ruled that according to evidence before the court, Mr. LUBINDA eventually surrendered his diplomatic passport after leaving office as Justice Minister after the 2021 General Election.
