Global cooperation needed to end conflicts – HH

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called on the global community to work together to ensure that the world reduces cases of conflict.
President HICHILEMA says it is important that the world spends less money on conflict, buying guns and instead use it to advance development.
He says it is his government’s desire to see peace, security and stability to advance meaningful development and contribute to the country’s economic social development.
President HICHILEMA said this when he received letters of credence from Kenya’s High Commissioner to Zambia LILIAN TOMITOM, Ambassador of Turkiye to Zambia HUSEYIN DICLE and British High Commissioner to Zambia REBECCA TERZEON at State House.
He also called for meaningful cooperation with KENYA, TURKIYE and UK to accelerate mutual benefits and advance relations.
And President HICHILEMA said Zambia will support the candidature of Kenya’s former Prime Minister, RAILA ODINGA, who is vying for the position of Chairperson of the African Union Commission.
Meanwhile, Ms. TOMITOM said she will work at diversifying Relations between Kenya and Zambia so that there is enhanced relations that will transform the two countries and its people.
Ambassador of Turkiye to Zambia Mr. DICLE said he has been instructed to explore and enhance already existing cooperation and build new areas of cooperation with Zambia in various spheres.
Meanwhile, British High Commissioner to Zambia Ms. TERZEON stressed that she will continue to harness her country’s commitment to grow the Zambia and UK relations which have over the years grown from strength to strength.
