Govt Hands Over Fishponds to Cooperatives in Sesheke District
The government has handed over two fishponds to cooperatives in Lusu Ward of Sesheke District.
The fishponds were constructed and stocked at a total cost of 337,000 Kwacha.
The ponds were built to support aquaculture production in the district as a livelihood alternative for farmers negatively affected by climate change.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, District Commissioner Alex Namenda urged farmers to ensure the sustainability of the fishponds.
