
Govt Launches Mineral Vision called ‘Zambezi Minute’
Zambia has launched an ambitious critical minerals vision dubbed ‘The Zambezi Minute ‘ intended to unite government and industry in a bold plan to harness global demand, attract investment, and secure widespread prosperity for its people.
And President Hakainde Hichilema has hailed the vision as a cornerstone of Zambia’s future.
The President says the critical minerals vision will drive growth, create jobs, and help deliver lasting prosperity for Zambians.
President Hichilema says critical minerals are key to the country’s economic future.
He says his job is to secure investment and make sure the benefits reach the public.
President Hichilema says for mining companies to succeed, it rests on geology, infrastructure, environmental stewardship, affordable capital as well as stable fiscal and legislative frameworks.
President Hichilema has also assured that government will pledge to draw in capital while ensuring fair benefits, jobs, revenue, and sustainability for its citizens.
President Hichilema further stressed that a transparent cadastre and detailed geological surveys will underpin the effort and inspire investor trust.
