“Govt making strides to help SME’s with capital “
By Wilson Mulinda
Government says it has made strides to ensure that all small businesses have access to capital and financing.
Small and Medium Enterprise Development Minister ELIAS MUBANGA says SME’s can have a positive impact on the economy in the long term if well supported.
Mr. MUBANGA was speaking during the official opening of Jessy’s Fine Dining Restaurant in Lusaka.
He has also challenged young entrepreneurs to emulate such ventures, while commending the proprietor for creating jobs for fellow Zambians.
And Restaurant Proprietor JESSIE CHIPINDO says her motive is to inspire others to pursue their dreams.
She says SME’s can thrive in Zambia as the Government has leveled the playing field.
Economist TREVOR HAMBAYI says Ms. CHIPINDO has proved that women can be big in business even with humble beginnings through hard work and determination.
