Govt needs K60m for World Skills Africa Competition
Government seeks to raise 60 million Kwacha in preparation for the World Skills Africa Competition that the country will host next year.
Tourism Minister, RODNEY SIKUMBA says this is in addition to the already announced 40 million Kwacha that the government set aside for the competition that will be hosted in Livingstone in April.
He was speaking during a stakeholders breakfast engagement meeting in Livingstone.
Mr. SIKUMBA said the government is committed to working with the private sector to improve skills development which is vital economic growth.
Technology and Science Permanent Secretary BRILLIANT HABEENZU said the World Skills Competition will help address many challenges that the country is faced with including job creation.
