Govt Sends Experts to Netherlands to Pre-Inspect Medical Equipment
By Martha Kanene
Government has sent a team of medical experts to the Netherlands, for a pre-inspection of advanced medical equipment, to be installed at the Cancer Diseases Hospital in Lusaka.
Health Permanent Secretary, Kennedy Lishimpi says the equipment is part of the 30-million dollars total rehabilitation of the hospital.
Dr Lishimpi says the project is being executed in two phases and the completion timeline is up to July 2026.
He says that key diagnostic facilities, including MRI, CT Scan, Mammogram, Ultrasound and Out-Patient clinics, are however set to become operational by July this year.
