
Govt to Construct Road from Rusangu to Chikuni Mission

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has announced that Government will construct a road from Rusangu turnoff to Chikuni Mission and another road from Gwembe to Chisuwo.
The President says construction of the Chipata -Chadiza road will start as soon as the rainy season is over and that a contractor has already been engaged.
President HICHILEMA has also reaffirmed government’s and the Church’s relationship as partners in development.
The President has urged people to stop creating division between the Government and the Catholic Church.
President HICHILEMA has challenged leaders to strengthen collaboration with the Church to promote development in areas like Chikuni and Rusangu, where missionaries have been actively working.
President HICHILEMA has thanked the Catholic Church for its investment and community service in Chikuni Mission.
Meanwhile, Monze Central Member of Parliament JACK MWIIMBU urged the Church to continue working with President HICHILEMA to drive development for the people.
And Monze Diocese Bishop RAPHAEL MWEEMPWA praised Government for empowering citizens through the Constituency Development Fund -CDF and Cash for Work, which has helped communities build resilience against climate change..
Bishop MWEEMPWA said the CDF has facilitated the construction of education and health infrastructure, laying a solid foundation for development.
