Govt to engage Steve Harvey on film opportunities

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says Zambia will engage U.S. media personality STEVE HARVEY to explore opportunities in the film and television industry.
President HICHILEMA says Mr. HARVEY is a great entrepreneur who has produced major shows that Zambia can learn from.
Speaking when he met Mr. HARVEY, who paid a courtesy call on him at State House this afternoon, President HICHILEMA said Zambia is prepared to collaborate with the U.S. television star to elevate the country’s film and television industry.
At the same meeting, Tourism Minister RODNEY SIKUMBA said Mr. HARVEY will assist in promoting Zambia’s tourism sector.
Mr. SIKUMBA said Mr. HARVEY will be instrumental in positioning Zambia as a preferred tourism destination.
And Mr. HARVEY said he has a passion for supporting young Africans in developing their talent and skills in film and television production.
He said he has an academy that certifies various skills in the industry and expressed readiness to collaborate with Zambia.
