Tourism Minister RODNEY SIKUMBA says government is now using celebrity endorsements to market the country to the outside world.
Mr. SIKUMBA says celebrities have a lot of influence especially on social media and their endorsement is critical in marketing the country abroad.
Mr. SIKUMBA says the presence of American comedian and TV host STEVE HARVEY in the country is a free advert for Zambia as he will market the country through social media.
Speaking at a press briefing with the American show host in Lusaka this afternoon, Mr. SIKUMBA said the government will use celebrities to market the country as they have a large following.
And Mr. HARVEY said every African-American must come to Africa and enjoy the freedom of being in countries led by black people.
Mr. HARVEY said African-Americans get stopped, harassed and arrested by Police every time they step out on the street.
He described President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA as a focused man who has a passion for the young people.
