Govt warns against culture of violence, lawlessness

Government has warned that it will not allow the re-emergency of a culture of violence and lawlessness which prevailed under the previous administration.

A video has emerged on social media depicting some youths in Kitwe on the Copperbelt, threatening to remove President HICHILEMA and the UPND from office using pangas in 2026.

Speaking as Acting Home Affairs Minister yesterday, DOUGLAS SYAKALIMA said Police will be on alert to deal with people perpetrating criminal activities using social media and cyber space.

And people have condemned the conduct of the youths who have been captured threatening violence on social media.
