
Hailstorm Damages Over 20 Hectares of Crops in Kasama District
ZANIS -Over 20 hectares of crops have been damaged by a hailstorm in Senior Chief Mwamba’s area in Kasonde Mutokwa Agricultural Camp of Kasama District.
The hailstorm damaged maize, cassava, groundnuts, and bean crops in the area.
Kasama District Senior Agricultural Officer, John Chilundika, says 17 households have been affected by the hailstorm in Kawama Masuwa village.
Speaking during a field monitoring visit, Mr. Chilundika encouraged the affected farmers to replant beans and cassava as the planting window is still open.
