Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister MULAMBO HAIMBE has encouraged Embassy staff to keep working hard to achieve President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA’s economic goals for Zambia.
Speaking when he addressed staff at the Zambia High Commission in London, Mr. HAIMBE encouraged diplomats to continue supporting one another and promoting the country as an investment destination for the private sector.
He also urged staff to appreciate government efforts in mitigating the current crisis occasioned by the drought that has negatively impacted the country and the region.
Mr. HAIMBE said the drought has had a huge impact on the livelihood of Zambians and that the country is working hard to mitigate future risks of climate impact in the energy sector, in particular.
He said private sector investment in green energy is welcome.
The Minister later inspected the Chancery, with ZAMBIA’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom MACENJE MAZOKA and team.
This is according to First Secretary for Press at the Zambia High Commission in London SPEEDWELL MUPUCHI.
