Haimbe to represent HH at CHOGM

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation MULAMBO HAIMBE is scheduled to represent President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA at  the 27th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting -CHOGM.

The Summit will take place from October, 21st to 26th 2024, in Apia, Samoa.

The CHOGM 2024 will convene under the theme: “One Resilient Common Future: Transforming our Common Wealth.”

Held biennially, the meeting sets policies and priorities for the Commonwealth on shared global goals.

CHOGM 2024 will provide a platform for Heads of Government, business leaders, and other stakeholders to address critical issues, including climate change, democracy, human rights, the rule of law, economic recovery, and empowerment for sustainable livelihoods.

Preceding the main Summit, the Pre-CHOGM Foreign Ministers Meeting will take place on October, 24th 2024.

Zambia’s delegation will also engage in various forums, including the Commonwealth Business Forum, Commonwealth Gender Forum, Commonwealth Youth Forum, and the Commonwealth People’s Forum.
