Health Ministry Warns Against Using Kafue River Water

The Ministry of Health has cautioned the public NOT to use water from the KAFUE River, which has been exposed to chemical contamination.
The Ministry says this is posing a danger to human beings and aquatic animals.
And Health Minister, ELIJAH MUCHIMA says No ONE should trade and sale the FISH from the KAFUE River to the public.
Dr. MUCHIMA says under the Food Safety Act, it is an offence for any ONE to sale dangerous food including contaminated animal products, which include fish.
In a statement to ZNBC News this evening, Dr. MUCHIMA strongly advised the public against taking advantage of the unfortunate incident by eating or selling fish from the Kafue River.
