President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called on World Vision to assist the country in improving water supply in health facilities and schools.
President HICHILEMA says his administration has directed that maternity wings in all health facilities should have access to water and has asked World Vision to assist the country in that area.
He says the number of learners in schools have also increased as a result of the introduction of free education and that this has also increased demand on water.
President HICHILEMA said this when he met a delegation from World Vision led by President and Chief Executive Officer ANDREW MORLEY at State House in Lusaka today.
And Mr. MORLEY said that Zambia has remained a key partner of World Vision since 1981.
He said that World Vision will be launching its Global Enough Campaign in Zambia later this month focusing on ending child hunger and malnutrition.
Mr. MORLEY explained that in Zambia, World Vision is determined to make a lasting impact on 150 million children.
