
HH calls for increased investments, trade

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called for increased investment and trade in Zambia’s key economic sectors to grow the economy and create jobs.
President #HICHILEMA says Zambia has numerous opportunities in sectors such as mining, agriculture, energy and pharmaceuticals that need to be explored.
He has also called for joint ventures in key sectors to drive bilateral relations and enhance multilateral corporations.
The President said this when he received letters of credence from India’s High Commissioner to Zambia, Belarus’ Ambassador to Zambia, Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Zambia and Canada’s High Commissioner to Zambia.
President HICHILEMA said Zambia is committed to its two foreign policy cornerstones which are economic diplomacy and peace, security and stability.
And #India’s High Commissioner to Zambia #ALOK JHA said India is committed to enhancing its already existing relations in key economic sectors as it explores new sectors.
And presenting the letter of credence, #Belarus Ambassador IHAR MARSHALAU said his country is ready to explore joint projects with Zambia in key economic sectors such as agriculture and mining among others.
Bangladesh High Commissioner SHAH SHAFI said Zambia and his country can learn from one another and explore economic opportunities that will enhance investment and trade.
And Canada’s High Commissioner #EMILY BURNS said Canada has invested over 1.5 billion kwacha in various sectors in Zambia.
