HH calls for success stories communication
By Mark Ziligone
President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has called on government officials to take a proactive role in communicating the successes the country has recorded in the past three years.
Speaking during the launch of the Zambia Public Sector Strategic Communication Training for Senior Government Officials in Lusaka today, President HICHILEMA emphasised the importance of effectively sharing the administration’s accomplishments with the public.
The President pointed out that, although the Government has made significant strides in areas such as the mining sector and the introduction of the free education policy, many of these successes have not been adequately communicated to the public.
He said it is the responsibility of government officials to explain the achievements, ensuring that citizens are informed about the positive changes taking place.
And Information and Media Minister CORNELIUS MWEETWA said the training has come at a better time when Government has delivered most of its promises.
Meanwhile Secretary to the Cabinet PATRICK KANGWA stressed the importance of fostering integrity within the public sector to earn public trust.
