HH commissions Mambwe District Hospital

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has commissioned the 80 bed capacity Mambwe District Hospital.
President HICHILEMA has since directed the Ministry of Health to conclude administrative processes promptly to ensure the Hospital is given the required staff compliment.
He says it is important for the community to work alongside hospital staff to maintain the facility, which is equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology.
The President has assured that Government will ensure the hospital is staffed with trained personnel and stocked with necessary medicines.
Acting Minister of Health, ELIAS MUBANGA, encouraged hospital staff to serve the community with professionalism.
Meanwhile, Acting British High Commissioner, BERNI SMITH, representing the British Government—who contributed to the project—reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to supporting Zambia’s healthcare sector.
Chief JUMBE of the Kunda people expressed gratitude to President HICHILEMA, noting that the hospital will reduce the need for residents to travel to Chipata for medical care.
The facility boasts of modern surgical services, a maternity wing, physiotherapy, a CT scan, radiology, and other advanced medical services.
