HH Honours NUJOMA, Calls for Economic Liberation
By Ruth Chayinda
President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has challenged African Leaders to work together to enhance economic independence.
President HICHILEMA says this will honour the legacy of the presidents that fought for political liberation in the region such as Namibia’s first president SAM NUJOMA.
He says just like Zambia’s first president KENNETH KAUNDA, Dr NUJOMA’s contribution to the liberation struggle and the regional bodies remains exemplary.
President HICHILEMA said this in an interview shortly after signing the book of condolence at the Namibian High Commission in Lusaka today.
He stressed that the duty to move the region and individual countries forward now rests on the current generation of presidents through promoting joint investments and trade.
President HICHILEMA described Dr. NUJOMA as a committed citizen whose contribution to liberation of African countries will remain in records of history
