HH hosts ZNFU at State House

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ongoing dialogue and cooperation with stakeholders in the agricultural sector.
President HICHILEMA says dialogue is important as the country hopes for a favorable rainy season.
He was speaking during a meeting at State House in Lusaka, with the Zambia National Farmers Union alongside key representatives from relevant Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies involved in agriculture.
President HICHILEMA said farmers in partnership with the government are indispensable in combating the effects of drought and hunger.
According to a post on his facebook page, President HICHILEMA added that the government is resolute in addressing critical challenges including ensuring the timely payment of farmers among others.
He further urged all citizens to contribute by cultivating wherever possible, strengthening the nation’s food basket and reinforcing Zambia’s collective food security.
