President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has encouraged the visiting Germany business delegation to explore Zambia’s business environment and form joint ventures with local firms.
President HICHILEMA says Zambia has abundant natural resources such as critical minerals that must be exploited.
The President was speaking when Germany Agriculture Minister, CEM OZDEMIR, who is leading a delegation of over 80 investors, industry leaders and researchers paid a courtesy call on him at the State House.
President HICHILEMA also thanked Germany for helping Zambia, especially during the debt restructuring process.
He said Germany’s influence was crucial in convincing creditors to restructure Zambia’s debt.
And Mr. OZDEMIR said his country decided to support Zambia with 108 million Euros towards the drought response because of the government’s belief in human rights.
He said his country sympathizes with Zambia due to the drought situation.
Mr. OZDEMIR said German investors want to collaborate with their Zambian partners.
