HH open to dialogue with ECL

State House says President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA remains open to meaningful and sincere dialogue.
And State House says President HICHILEMA has no involvement in the internal conflicts of the former ruling party as purported by his predecessor EDGAR LUNGU.
This follows Mr. LUNGUs response to the proposed dialogue by the Oasis Forum and other church mother bodies where he stated that he would have dialogue with President HICHILEMA if he stopped funding internal conflicts in the PF party and restores PF records at the Registrar of Societies.
State House Chief Communications Specialist, CLAYSON HAMASAKA says the President, has no authority to restore records at the Registrar, especially for a private club or any other entity.
In a statement issued to ZNBC News, Mr. HAMASAKA said President HICHILEMA firmly believes in the rule of law and would never interfere with the operations of governance institutions, such as the Registrar of Societies.
He has described demands by Mr. LUNGU as not only strange but also contemptuous and preposterous as the current disagreements are similar to the ones he had with Mr. MILES SAMPA prior to the 2015 Presidential by-election.
Mr. HAMASAKA said the President has acknowledged that the Oasis Forum and other stakeholders have genuine intentions in proposing this dialogue, as they have done with previous administrations.
He further said President HICHILEMA has reaffirmed that he remains committed to fostering peace and unity, because he recognizes them as essential foundations for national development.
