HH Orders Probe of Issues raised FIC Trends Report

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says he expects Law Enforcement Agencies to immediately investigate suspicious transactions raised in the 2023 Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Trends Report.

President HICHILEMA says the Anti-corruption Commission -ACC, the Drug Enforcement Commission and other agencies are expected to thoroughly investigate all the issues raised in the report released by the Financial Intelligence Centre-FIC.

The President says illicit financial transactions undermine a country’s development agenda.

He adds that government is resolved and committed to zero tolerance to corruption.

This is according to a statement issued to ZNBC News by State House Chief Communications Specialist CLAYSON HAMASAKA.
