President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says legal reforms have enabled the speedy and cost-effective recovery of stolen assets and money.
President HICHILEMA says Government has recovered over 30 million U.S. Dollars this year without incurring significant expenses.
He says prudent prosecution of cases frees up resources for productive and social sectors.
The President was speaking when the Reformed Church in Zambia -RCZ- Synod paid a courtesy call on him at State House.
At the same meeting, RCZ vice Synod Moderator MOSES MWALE pledged the Church’s support in the fight against corruption.
Reverend MWALE dismissed claims that anti-corruption efforts are politically motivated, stating that those guilty of theft must be held accountable.
And RCZ Synod Moderator ACKSON BANDA commended Government for interventions such as free education and the enhanced Constituency Development Fund- CDF- which address societal challenges.
