HH reaffirms Zambia’s Christian Foundation
By Wilson Mulinda
President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says Zambia will continue to be governed and guided by #Christian principles and values.
President #HICHILEMA says his administration remains committed to supporting the availability and distribution of bibles countrywide to ensure that all citizens have access to the word of God.
He has also advised citizens to uphold integrity, unity and live in unity.
The head of state said this in a speech read for him by Mines Minister PAUL KABUSWE at the launch of the Senga Oral New Testament #Bible translation in Chama District.
President HICHILEMA said the coming of the oral translation will strengthen the faith of the Senga people and boost Christianity in the area.
Meanwhile, Bible and Literature Translation Association National Chairperson JONES KATETE requested for Government support for the construction of a Bible house in Eastern province.
Father KATETE said the motive of the oral translation is to empower citizens to have the bible in their own languages, as it caters for those that are unable to read, the visually impaired and other community members.
And Special Assistant to the President for Politics LEVY NGOMA said President HICHILEMA always governs the country in line with the teachings of the Bible.
