
HH Tells Youths Not to Be Used for Violence

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has urged youths not to be used in violent activities aimed at derailing the amendment of the constitution.
Mr. HICHILEMA says youths need to understand the contents of the document and denounce violence, which the current government worked hard to get rid of.
He says through the amended constitution, the government wants to ensure more youths, women and people living with disabilities are placed in key decision-making positions for the development of the country.
The President said this during the National Youth Day commemoration in Mongu, Western Province.
President HICHILEMA also stressed that the current government has the heart for the youths, and that it has demonstrated that love through various polices benefitting the youths, such as the reintroduction of the free education policy.
At the same event, Western Province Minister KAPELWA MBANGWETA thanked the President for implementing various programmes that have uplifted the welfare of youths especially the free education policy.
He has also thanked the President for encouraging unity and inclusivity through the hosting of national events in different provinces.
