HH thanks voters for peaceful by-elections

President Hakainde Hichilema has thanked voters for their peaceful conduct during yesterday’s parliamentary and local government by-elections.
President Hichilema says the peaceful by-elections underscore Zambia’s unwavering commitment to democracy as enshrined in the Republican Constitution.
President Hichilema says unity and peace are foundational pillars for national development and has expressed optimism for the continued progress and prosperity for all Zambians.
The Head of State has thanked the people of Kawambwa Constituency for their overwhelming support of the UPND candidate, Nason Musonda, who has made history as the first UPND Member of Parliament in Luapula Province.
President Hichilema has congratulated the UPND and its alliance partners for running a successful campaign, which reflects the people’s trust in their leadership.
The Head of State has further called on all elected officials to prioritize the needs of the people they serve, emphasizing the importance of leadership that is accountable and people-centered.
President Hichilema has also commended all participating political parties for their contribution to strengthening Zambia’s democracy.
This is according to a statement issued by State House Chief Communication Specialist, Clayson Hamasaka.
