HH to officiate at the Chiwela Munshi  Traditional Ceremony

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA is tomorrow, October 20th, 2024 expected to join the Lala and Swaka people as they celebrate Chiwela Munshi  Traditional Ceremony , in Chief Shaibila’s area in Mkushi district, Central Province.

Provincial Minister, MWABASHIKE NKULUKUSA has announced the President’s visit to the Zambia News and Information Services.

Mr NKULUKUSA said the President will, upon landing , pay a courtesy call on the 19  Traditional Leaders  of Central Province  .

He stated that Mr HICHILEMA will later attend  the cultural event where the Lala and Swaka people celebrate their return from crop fields where they camp from the time of cultivation till the harvest period.

Mr NKULUKUSA said President HICHILEMA’s attendance of traditional ceremonies signifies the promotion of unity and cultural heritage among diverse ethnic groupings across the country.

He said President HICHILEMA will also interact with the local people before returning to Lusaka.
