
HH urges parents to embrace free education

President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says government is responding to development concerns in Eastern Province.
President HICHILEMA says as part of the response, government has already engaged a contractor to work on the Chipata – Lundazi Road and Katete -Chanida Road.
The President said this during the Nc’wala Traditional Ceremony of the Ngoni People.
And, President HICHILEMA said culture should be preserved because it is the backbone of the country’s identity.
The President said this can be seen from the unity of different ethnic groups who have attended the 2025 Nc’wala traditional ceremony.
He also cautioned parents against keeping Children at home when education is free.
President HICHILEMA said it is a crime for parents to deprive their children of their right to education when government is offering free education.
And Paramount Chief MPEZENI who spoke through the N’cwala Traditional Ceremony Organizing Committee Chairperson DUMISANI TEMBO praised President HICHILEMA for his personal and government contribution towards the preparation of the ceremony.
The Paramount Chief, further thanked government for facilitating the upgrade of the Mtenguleni arena.
And Eswatini Deputy Prime Minister THULISILE DLADLA who represented King MSWATI said traditional ceremonies play a significant role in shaping the future of nations.
Meanwhile, Eastern Province Minister PETER PHIRI said the unity and peace exhibited at the ceremony is testament of President HICHILEMA’s efforts to provide a conducive environment where everyone co-exists regardless of their political and ethnic background
