HH Urges Swift Implementation of Zambia-Egypt MOUs
By Effie Mphande
President Hichilema has called for the swift implementation of the Memoranda of Understanding signed during his two-day state visit to Egypt.
The President says his government was elected into public office to better the lives of citizens, and this can only be done by growing the economy.
He was speaking at the Zambia-Egypt Business Forum in Cairo, Egypt.
Later, President Hichilema toured the Veterinary Serum and Vaccine Research Institute, one of the oldest institutes in the Middle East and Africa.
Established in 1903, the institute has been conducting research for the improvement and innovation of veterinary vaccines, sera, and diagnostic reagents.
The President said that as Zambia seeks to eradicate livestock diseases, the country can target export markets for farmers, adding that the institute is key to achieving this goal.
President Hichilema said Zambia looks forward to partnerships in this area and sharing knowledge and skills for improved animal vaccines.
