HH wishes BB11, Chikotesha the best at CAF Awards

President Hakainde Hichilema has extended his best wishes to Copper Queens captain Barbra Banda and FIFA assistant referee Diana Chikotesha ahead of tonight’s CAF Awards.

In a video call with Barbra and Diana this afternoon, President Hichilema expressed confidence in the Zambian envoys’ chances of winning the awards.

The President also encouraged Banda to stay focused on her goals and to ignore any negativity that may come her way.

Barbra and Diana, in turn, thanked President Hichilema for his continued support for sports in Zambia.

Meanwhile, FAZ President Andrew Kamanga stated that the 10-year strategic plan is beginning to yield results, with all national teams performing well.

Barbra Banda has been nominated for African Female Footballer of the Year, while Diana Chikotesha is vying for the Best Assistant Referee award.
