Health Permanent Secretary, CHRISTOPHER SIMOONGA has called for transparency in the recruitment of the over 4,000 health workers this year.
And Professor SIMOONGA has warned human resource officers against engaging in corruption in the recruitment process.
The Permanent Secretary has said this when he addressed senior officers in his Ministry in Chipata, Eastern province.
Professor SIMOONGA says NO one should be subjected to paying in order to be recruited into public service.
He says every Zambian who is qualified is entitled to get a job in government without paying anything to anyone.
And Eastern Provincial Health Director ,MATHEWS NG’AMBI says close to 2,000 health workers have been recruited in the last two years in the Province.
Dr NG’AMBI has commended the government for allowing the province to participate in the recruitment process through the decentralisation policy.
