IBA DG found dead with two gunshot wounds

Independent Broadcasting Authority -IBA- Director General GUNTILA MULEYA has been shot dead.

Mr. MULEYA’s body was found with two gunshot  wounds in LUSAKA’s Njolwe area.

Ministry of Information Permanent Secretary THABO KAWANA says initial reports indicate that Mr. MULEYA was abducted after he knocked off from work on Tuesday, July 23rd.

Mr KAWANA has urged police to thoroughly investigate the matter surrounding Mr. MULEYA’s shooting.

Speaking to journalists at MAINA Soko Medical Centre, Mr KAWANA has expressed deepest condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of Government.

MEANWHILE, Police Spokesperson RAE HAMOONGA said that Police acted on a Report received from a member of the Public.

Mr HAMOONGA said a docket for a case of murder has been opened and investigations are underway.
