India to plant fruit trees and drill borehole at NRDC
Agriculture Minister RUEBEN MTOLO has expressed gratitude to the Indian High Commission for embarking on a plantation drive which will see 120 trees being planted at the Natural Resources Development College -NRDC.
Mr. MTOLO says the plantation drive will include trees such as guava and litchi
The Commission will also install a solar powered borehole to help change the face of the institution.
Speaking during the launch of the plantation drive by the India High Commission in Lusaka, Mr. MTOLO said he is looking forward to the enhancement of the project.
And Indian High Commissioner Mr. ASHOK KUMAR announced contribution to the project of over 50,000 Kwacha by RKTC Overseas Investment Ltd and Lusaka Indian Ladies Association.
Mr. Kumar praised the Zambia’s government for its efforts to promote environmental conservation, noting that the country is one of the most affected by climate change.
