Investment in Transport Corridors is Crucial for Enhancing Regional Trade-Milupi
By Wilson Mulinda
Infrastructure and Urban Development Minister CHARLES MILUPI says Zambia’s investment in transport corridors is crucial for enhancing regional trade.
Mr. MILUPI says the transport corridors are also important for job creation, and domestic revenue generation.
He says with Zambia sharing land and water borders with nine countries, investing in transport corridors is essential to unlocking trade potential and supporting industrialization.
Mr. MILUPI was speaking during the Inaugural Ministerial Round Table at the Transforming Transport Conference in Washington, D.C., hosted by the World Bank and the World Resources Institute at the Ross Center for Sustainable Cities.
He said the progress made in Debt Restructuring has restored confidence in Zambia’s economy and strengthened investor interest in infrastructure development.
