An elderly woman of Dambwa Site and Service in Livingstone is appealing to the government to help her repair a septic tank that has been destroyed by an elephant.
ESTHER TEMBO, has told ZNBC News in an interview that an elephant invaded her home on Thursday morning, around 24:00 hours, and later fell and got stuck in her septic tank.
Ms. TEMBO says after noticing what had happened, she contacted the Department of National Parks and Wildlife who came to rescue the elephant at 06:00 hours, the same day.
She says being an old lady and widow, with no income stream, she cannot afford to repair the septic tank which has been completely damaged by the elephant.
