K1.2m to be Spent as Boarding School Bursaries
Over 1.2 million Kwacha will be used this year to pay for secondary boarding school bursaries, using the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), in Livingstone district.
Livingstone City Council Public Relations Manager, Melvin Mukela, told ZNBC News that seven hundred seventy thousand nine hundred five Kwacha will be used to pay bursaries for one hundred seventy-two returning pupils.
One of the parents of the sponsored pupils, Christabel Simutenge, has praised the government for introducing the secondary boarding school bursaries.
Ms. Simutenge said the secondary boarding school bursaries under CDF have lightened the burden she had before.
