K100m needed for World Skills Africa Conference

Government has urged the private sector to help raise 100 million Kwacha towards the World skills Africa 2025 conference and competition that will be held in April next year.
Technology and Science Minister FELIX MUTATI says the skills camp is an opportunity for the country to showcase its skills and learn from other countries.
Speaking during a media breakfast in Lusaka, Mr. MUTATI said it is important that various stakeholders take this as an investment in order to make the country a new regional skills development hub in Africa.
Meanwhile, Immediate former Engineering Institute of Zambia President ABEL NG’ANDU
emphasized the need for skills development in order to enhance the nation’s economic growth.
And World skills Zambia Programme Manager PRECIOUS LISULO said 1,500 people are expected to attend the event, which will be held in Livingstone next year.
