Katete FISP supplier delivers underweight fertilizer bags
(ZANIS) Authorities in Katete have expressed concern over the underweight bags of fertilizer purported to have been delivered to the district under the Farmer Input Support Programme.
The said bags of Urea are more than 1,500 and do not meet the minimum weight in accordance with the required standard measurement of a 50Kg.
Speaking when he witnessed arrival of inputs for the 2024/2025 farming season, Katete District Commissioner RAPHAEL PHIRI has called for the withdrawal of under-weight fertiliser.
Mr. PHIRI says investigations have been instituted to understand why the named supplier delivered under-weight bags of fertilizer.
