Kazhila denies attributing drought to Edgar Lungu
By Ruth Chayinda
Life Gospel Fellowship Ministries Church International Overseer JOSEPH KAZHILA has denied attributing the current drought to former President Edgar Lungu .
This follows counter false information and narratives circulating on social media regarding his recent sermon during the national day of prayer yesterday.
Bishop KAZHILA says it is unfortunate that some hateful individuals have maliciously twisted what he said to fuel hatred and resentment against him.
He says while he takes full responsibility for his words, he should not be held accountable for misinterpretations.
Bishop KAZHILA has since urged the public to seek the truth by watching the full sermon video rather than relying on hearsay.
Beacon of Truth Church Senior Pastor JIMMY NG’AMBI has described the narrative being driven on social media that Bishop KAZHILA blamed Mr LUNGU for the current economic crisis in the country as evil and dangerous for the unity of the country.
Reverend NG’AMBI said at no point in the sermon did the Bishop mention the former President as a reference point.
He has since called on those spreading the divisive lies to stop it .
