Kitwe gets one million for Cash for Work
Over one million Kwacha has been released for Cash for Work activities in five constituencies in Kitwe.
Council Public Relations Officer EMMANUEL LUPIKISHA says over 2,000 people are expected to benefit from the cash.
Mr LUPIKISHA told ZNBC News that the payments have been made to beneficiaries engaged under the August allocation and disbursements have now started for those engaged under the September allocation.
He said the local authority is committed to promptly process payments upon completion of each beneficiary’s 10-day work cycle.
