Livingstone Residents Complain about water leakages

Residents of Livingstone’s Akapelwa Ward have expressed concern over the increasing cases of pipe leakages in the Central Business District.

PATRICK MUBANGA, a resident, says the pipe leakage problem has persisted for over two weeks.

He has called on SWASCO to urgently to restore water accessibility and maintain sanitation.

And a car wash business owner, GRAYSON ZULU, says the water leakages are affecting business operations due to erratic water supply.

But Southern Water and Sewerage Company Public Relations Officer, LUNGOWE MUTUMWENU says some residents are not reporting the cases.

Ms MUTUMWENU has encouraged residents to utilize the fault reporting mechanisms provided by SWASCO to ensure timely resolution of the problem.
