Low CDF usage irks SEJANI

The Local Government Service Commission says some Councils’ are still failing to adequately use the Constituency Development Funds -CDF.

Commission Chairperson, ACKSON SEJANI says this is despite the commission having recruited qualified staff in the Councils.

Mr. SEJANI says the commission has since devised a bi-annual performance appraisal tool for the utilisation and implementation of CDF.

He has explained that all Principal Officers in the councils will be appraised based on their performance with special focus on the execution and implementation of CDF programmes.

Mr. SEJANI has said this in Mpika, Muchinga Province, during the official opening of an orientation workshop of new Members of Human Resource Committees.
