Lusaka businessman arrested for theft

Police in LUSAKA have arrested and formally charged Businessman ACKSON TEMBO with obtaining money by false pretenses and theft.
Police Spokesperson RAE HAMOONGA says Mr. TEMBO 42, allegedly between January and June 2017, fraudulently obtained 62,000 United States Dollars from PENA OSEMBE ALUMBA.
Mr. HAMOONGA says that Mr TEMBO is also charged with the theft of Mukula logs valued at over One Million Kwacha property also belonging to Mr. ALUMBA.
In an Exclusive Interview with ZNBC News, Mr HAMOONGA said Mr. TEMBO was arrested following thorough investigations and was formally charged.
Mr. TEMBO was released on police bond on September 13, 2024 and is expected to appear in court soon, where he will answer to the charges laid against him.
