Lusaka Girl Stabbed on her way to School

A 12-year-old girl from Lusaka’s Westwood area is nursing wounds after she was allegedly attacked and stabbed by unknown assailants.
The incident occurred on Monday, February 17, 2025, as the girl was on her way to school with two friends.
The victim told ZNBC News that her attackers dragged her into a nearby bush and stabbed her in the hip and inner thighs with a sharp object, while her friends managed to escape.
Meanwhile, some residents in the area say they are living in fear due to the attack.
Police Spokesperson Rae Hamonga has confirmed the report of the incident and stated that investigations have been instituted.
